      The stems of a filaree is leafy and hairy.  The stems of the filaree are one inch long or two inches long.  The leaves are dark green.  The leaves are bundled together forming a rosette.  The long stem carries a pink or purple flower.  Each flower has five petals.  Flowers appear in the first days of February and July.  Each flower has seeds to reproduce.  There are five seeds at a time.  Seeds are ten centimeters long.  The seeds looks like a storks bill.

The habitat of the filaree is a grassland.  The grassland would be often disturb.  After fires the soil grows healthier.  Seedlings from fliarees start to germinate.  It will grow in the early spring or summer.

Is the filaree edible?  Well yes.  You can roast and cook the plant.  Also you can eat the whole entire plant.  You can eat the fillaree raw.

Filaree is used in a lot of medical uses.  Like medicine.  This plant has the ability to stop someone from bleeding.  Also the roots were eaten by nursing mothers to help increase the flow of milk.

Did you know that a filaree can produce up to two thousound seeds.  Filarees are not native to California.  They are native to Asia and Europe.  Also The filaree is a weed.
